A crushing left hook from Conor “Notorious” McGregor put an end to Jose Aldo’s ten year undefeated streak and reign atop the featherweight division. McGregor knocked out Aldo in just 13 seconds in the main event of UFC 194 to earn the featherweight title. With the win McGregor improves his record to 19-2 overall and 7-0 with the UFC.
The question now is who will the brash champion and marketing superstar fight next? There is speculation that McGregor may step up to lightweight to take on the winner of the Rafael dos Anjos vs. Donald Cerrone title fight which takes place on December 19th. An intruiging challenger in the featherweight ranks is Frankie Edgar who recently notched a knockout of Chad Mendes at The Ultimate Fighter Finale 22.
