Former UFC welterweight Ben Saunders signs with Bellator

The Bellator Fighting Championship announced the signing of welterweight Ben “Killa B” Saunders. He will not compete in the welterweight tournament that begins in March but will debut during the upcoming Season 4. Bellator Chairman and CEO Bjorn Rebney stated on the official release;

Ben Saunders is an exciting, powerful welterweight with explosive knockout power. Ben’s dangerous and always shows up to fight. I’m excited to see his first fight under the Bellator banner on MTV2 in April.

Saunders (9-3-2), a participant of season 6 of “The Ultimate Fighter”, began his UFC career with 3 straight wins. However, he then dropped three of his next four fight which prompted his release from the UFC. Killa B got back on the winning track with a victory over Elijah Harshbarger at World Extreme Fighting in November and now he is ready to make his mark with Bellator.

I’m here to test myself against anyone that they throw against me. I want to be the best. I want to be a champion, and that’s my goal. I’m here to kick some ass, make some money, and take a belt along the way.
