Edwin Dewees vs. Luke Harris joins MFC 33 main card

Maximum Fighting Championship logoA 195-pound catchweight bout matching Edwin Dewees and Luke Harris has been added to the main card of Maximum Fighting Championship (MFC) 33 on Friday, May 4th.

MFC 33 will take place from the Mayfield Conference Centre in Edmonton, Alberta. The main card will be televised live on HDNet at 10:00pm ET. Headlining the card is a welterweight title bout between Ryan McGillivray and Nathan Coy.

Despite being only 29 years old, Dewees (37-15, 1 NC) has over 50 professional mixed martial arts bouts. He has recorded 30 of his wins by submission. Dewees will be making his MFC debut after previously competing with the UFC, Rage in the Cage, and Affliction.

After losing his professional debut at MFC 13, Harris (8-1, 1 NC) is unbeaten his in last nine fights. Harris, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, has notched all of his wins by submission in the first round.
