Patricky “Pitbull” Freire became the fourth and final competitor to advance to the semifinals of the Bellator lightweight tournament. Freire defeated former World Extreme Cagefighting lightweight champion “Razor” Rob McCullough by technical knockout at 3:11 in the third round. Freire was dominate in the first round as he was close to finishing the fight on a couple of occasions. McCullough was able to survive the submission attempts but he was battered and bloodied for his effort. As the fight wore on, Razor Rob seemed to be gain confidence with his striking. The fight was very close heading into the final round and McCullough was effectively mixing up his strikes and kicks. However, “The Pitbull” landed a vicious right hook that immediately crumbles McCullough. Freire attacked until the referee stepped in the call an end to the fight.
