Kimbo Slice survived early trouble to score a first round knockout of Ken Shamrock in the main event of Bellator 138. Shamrock’s strategy was to get the fight to the ground where he had significant advantage. Kimbo shook off an early takedown attempt before Shamrock was able to take the fight to the ground with a single leg takedown. Shamrock quickly transitioned to a rear naked choke and it appeared Kimbo was on the verge of being submitted. However, Kimbo was able to escape and get back to his feet where he quickly turned the tide of the fight. Kimbo landed a series of right hands which ultimately floored Shamrock and prompted referee John McCarthy to call an end to the fight.
