Andreas Spang replaces Bruno Santos at Bellator 66, faces Brian Rogers in semifinals

Brian “The Predator” Rogers has a new opponent for his semifinal bout of the season six middleweight tournament at Bellator 66. Rogers will now square off against Andreas Spang who will be replacing an injured Bruno Santos. The news was originally reported by Cleveland.com.

Bellator 66 takes place from the I-X Center in Cleveland, Ohio on Friday, April 20th. The event features a highly anticipated lightweight rematch between Shinya Aoki and Eddie Alvarez.

Rogers (9-3) advances to the semifinal round of the tournament with a devastating flying knee knockout of Vitor Vianna. The Predator has finished all nine of his opponents which include eight wins by knockout. Spang (7-1) will be making his Bellator debut after previously competing for Strikeforce and Maximum Fighting Championship. He last saw action at Strikeforce Challengers 20 in November 2011 where he recorded a first round technical knockout of Willie Parks.

The main card for Bellator 66 will air live on MTV2 beginning and the preliminary card will stream free on Spike.com.
